Specific colors and patterns have been identified. These colors and
patterns included shades of red through tans and browns, gray through
black and combinations of these colors with white. For specific

| Fleece |
The
mohair should have a long-staple length with minimal kemp, be uniform with
good style and character and have a moderate amount of grease.

Does
shear 8+ pounds of skirted (stains removed) fiber per year. Bucks shear
about 12+ pounds of skirted fiber.

| Horns |
Horns
should curve gently back and around with a good space (two fingers)
between them. A small percentage of angora goats are naturally polled.
Dehorning is discouraged.

Tails |
Ears
are pendulous and tails are short and held high.

| Legs |
Legs
should be straight, with adequate-sized bones and covered with mohair at
least to the knees or hock (most desirable to the hoof).

| Belly |
The
belly and insides of the legs should be covered with mohair.

| Body |
The
back should be straight and strong. The pelvis should have a slight
downward tilt, but not extreme. The body should be deep, with good width
between the front legs and good spring of rib. The skin should be loose
and pliable.
