Forms to Register Goats

Registering and Recording or two very different things that are often confused. For more details, see this page.

  • Registry Application - Direct Entry (revised 4/08)
    Use this form to register offspring of a registered sire AND a registered dam.

    Color and Pattern Index
    Read the choices and circle all the numbers and letters that most closely describe the goat. Please note any differences between your choice and your goat. For example, a gray and tan light-belly goat with a partial belt would be 37DM. Please put the predominate color first.

Patterns

A.   Solid color (no pattern)

B.   Black and White (dark front, light rear, no facial stripes)

C.   Darkbelly or Badger (dark belly, dark stripes on face, topline and legs, light body)

D.   Lightbelly or Reverse Badger (dark body, light stripes on face, belly & legs)

E.   Mantled (dark front, light rear, facial stripes)

F.   Peacock (light front, dark rear, facial stripes)

G.  Tog (dark body, belly, light facial and leg stripes)

H.   White Spots (white spots on colored background)

I.    Colored Spots (colored spots on white background)

J.   White with Colored Fibers

K.   Pinto (colored and white patches)

L.   Belt (white band around middle of goat)

M.  Partial Belt (partial extension of white from the belly up the side)

 

  • Registry Application - Proven Pedigree (revised 4/08)
    Use this form to register a--
    • doe, if she has 3 or more registered offspring from 2 or more sires.
    • buck, if he has 5 or more registered offspring from 3 or more dams.

Inspection Forms

  • Physical Registry Inspection Application (revised 9/2010)
    Physical inspections are usually conducted at a fiber show or fair coordinated by a CAGBA member. Please mail your application and payment to the coordinator at least two weeks before the inspection. Knowing the number of animals to be inspected ahead of time helps planning.
  • Inspection Coordinator's Guidelines (revised 09/2010)
    Inspection Coordinators must follow these guidelines when hosting an inspection.
  • Registry Inspection Card (revised 09/2010)
    Cards used by inspectors during a physical inspection.
  • Inspection Results Sheet (revised 9/05)
    Used by the inspection coordinator to track inspection results. After the inspection, a copy is mailed to the registrar.
  • Photo Registry Inspection Application (revised 7/02)
    Photo inspections are not done often. Each region usually conducts one photo inspection per year. If you're planning to have an animal inspected via photo inspection, please read the Photo Inspection Instructions carefully.

Other Forms

  • Service Memo (revised 7/02)
    If you own the dam but not the sire of an animal you want to register, use this form. It is the breeder's responsibility to register offspring of registered parents. If you are not the breeder of this animal, contact the breeder regarding registration.
  • Event Income Accounting Form (revised 4/08)
    This form is used to record monies collected from any CAGBA fund-raising event or sales of CAGBA merchandise at fair/show.
  • National Show Proposal Questionnaire
    If you know of an event that may want to host our national show, use this form as a guideline for obtaining a proposal from the fair/event organizers. Proposals can be sent to any board member.
  • Registrar Accounting Form (revised 4/07)
    This form is used by the registrar when processing all record/registry transactions.
  • Registrar Expense Report Form (revised 4/08)
    This form is used by the registrar to track reimbursable expenses.
