Registration Methods Description
Inspection There are two types of inspections available: Physical and Photo

Physical inspections are generally held in conjunction with an event, although an inspection can be coordinated outside of an event/show. To have your goat inspected, you need to complete a CAGBA Registry Inspection Application and send the application and fee to the inspection coordinator.

Each animal is inspected by at least three inspectors.

Photo inspections are generally coordinated through the regional directors. This process is more expensive due to shipping costs involved in mailing fleeces, but this may be an option for owners unable to transport their animals to a physical inspection. To have your goat inspected, you need to complete a CAGBA Registry Inspection Application and send the application and fee to the inspection coordinator.

Each animal is inspected by at least three inspectors.

Offspring Offspring of a Registered sire AND dam (either AAGBA or CAGBA Registry) are registerable on the honor of the breeder that they are free of disqualifying traits or more than one marginal trait.
- Colored offspring receive a Blue Card.
- White offspring receive a Red Card.
Note: Offspring with only one registered parent must be inspected.
